I am uncertain as to whether there is a driver incompability issue with the new Windows update that fixes KB4515384 's audio problems, relating to the Razer hardware/software, and furthermore do Note the Dolby Atmos sound format + the "Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound" tickbox option.

I am going to remain on this previous version for a while until Microsoft comes up with someįurther fixes/patches for the sound-related issues caused by KB4515384.įor your interest, this is how my Spatial Sound properties are supposed to look when using the Razer Kraken 7.1 v2 Headset: I have restored my Windows 10 to the previous version I was on before update KB4515384 and this has solved my problem. However, I'm curious to know if anyone else has had this problem and-or if there It is obvious that the latest update has somehow rendered my device invisible to W10, so my only other option at this point could be a system restore to before I did the update.

Uninstalling/reinstalling audio drivers & sound devices Re-calibrating the Headset through the Razer Synapse application I am using a Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 Headset and have tried a numerous amount of troubleshooting, including the following: I am positive that a 7.1 device is far from 'generic'. When looking under Controller Information in General, the computer identifies the Headset as (Generic USB Audio).

Now it seems there is no 7.1 option whatsoever, and the option to enable Dolby Atmos is also vacant. Spatial Sound properties under the Sound options. Prior to the update, W10 recognized this fine and I was able to apply the respective I recently updated my computer with the September W10 update, and just of today have noticed that W10 is not officially recognizing my device as a 7.1 Surround Sound Headset.
